This quartet of adorably gruesome zombies were part of a header design commission I received from John Hayden over at Inbound Zombie, a site that works with small businesses and non-profits to create custom social web strategies.

Also, they employ two zombie-killing kitties. What more could you ask from a consulting firm, really?

Dead Ringers is a joint effort between myself and Welsh sculptor Phil Hynes, who brought the idea to me this year because we’re both rabid zombie fans, and we both want to make zombie art for you people! When you order a Dead Ringer, you send us photos of yourself (or your unsuspecting zombie victim!), and Phil will sculpt your likeness as a flesh-eating zombie! …then, as if that weren’t enough, he sends me the sculpture, and I paint it by hand to bring out all the putrid details! We’re offering two varieties: Groaners, which are sculpted zombie busts; and Shamblers, which are full-length cartoon-scale zombie sculptures! Your zombie is fully custom, based on your photos and your specifications: tell us what kind of damage your zombie should have (missing arm? exposed ribs? missing eye? torn throat? hole through a cheek?), and we’ll make it happen!

I’ve been working on a lot of exciting things lately! And I want to show them to you!

Also, Marty birthday festivities will begin this weekend – I am gonna tear some shit up, man. It’s my last birthday before I hit the three-decade mark… does that mean I have to start celebrating like an adult? God, I hope not….
