Against the Dead, with 100% More YOU!
If you love zombies (and killing zombies) as much as I do, I think you’ll like this.
I’ve been posting periodically on my blog about a d20 zombie apocalypse game that a friend and I have been working on for the better part of a year now. The official title of the book is “Against the Dead.”
We’ve playtested it and had a fantastic time tearing through wave after wave of cannibal corpses. So far I’ve created upwards of 70 original illustrations for the book, but I’d like to add some more zombie-massacre (and flesh-eating) action shots. That’s where YOU come in.
If you want to be included in the book as either a survivor or a zombie, this is your chance. We’re raising money to help defray the costs of putting the book together, so I’m offering you maniacs a deal:
For $20, I will add you to the Against the Dead book as a zombie, doing your damnedest to tear the kidneys out of some hapless survivor (to varying degrees of success, of course).
For $30, I will include you in the book as a survivor, one of humanity’s last hopes to overcome the undead plague (likewise, to varying degrees of success).
In both cases you can make requests as to the details of the drawing, which I will fill to the best of my ability with respect to what we still need in the book. Feel free to suggest weapons, equipment — whatever would make you happy. If I can make it suit the book, I will. Depending on how many people are interested, I may put multiple subjects into a single illustration – we do need some action shots of survivors killing zombies, and vice-versa!
Your donation gets you into the pages of Against the Dead, as well as a signed print of your illustration. After I’ve gotten enough people to fill in all the blank spots in the book, I’ll randomly select two contributors who will get their illustration rendered in full color. If that’s you, you’ll receive a color print in addition to the black & white line art print. There are limited spots available – if you’re interested, get your request in sooner rather than later!
