Those are just a few of the little doodles I made for people who showed up for my live drawing event last night! I sent out invitations to people on my mailing list an hour before the event, expecting that a handful of people would show up to help me work the kinks out of a system I’d never tried before. I posted to Twitter ten minutes before the event. …and by the end of the show we had upwards of 50 people watching! That’s insane.
So, thank you to everyone who showed up and had fun with us, and to the people who paid good money to watch me draw their darkest desires (or, y’know, just silly ideas) live on the internet! Your drawings will be matted and/or mailed to you this weekend! In the meantime, stay tuned for updates on the next live drawing event. If you want to receive advanced warning about upcoming events, you can always sign up for the mailing list, and I’ll let you know when they’re coming!
The next scheduled session is tomorrow – Saturday, November 21, from 1:00-3:00 (CST). I’ll be taking commissions for full-color 5×7″ drawings for $35, and notecard doodles for $5. If you get one of the 5×7″ drawings, I’ll matte it and send it to you. The notecards get sent to you via standard post. You can tune in to my USTREAM channel to watch it all happen live!
If you sign up (quick & painless, I promise — just start to chat and it will pop up a registration dialog), you can join in on the chat channel and make recommendations and heckle me with the rest of the folks who come to point and laugh. We’ll probably run long if people keep demanding commissions (hell, we did it last night — TWO extra hours!).
