Evil Dead: The Musical cast

Y’know, the power of social media never ceases to amaze me. This October, I went to see the “Evil Dead: the Musical” being put on at the Salvage Vanguard Theater here in Austin, and loved it! So I came home, and tweeted about how all my friends should go see the show, too. Well, one of the actors in the production saw my Tweet, checked out my website, and decided to commission me to create a cast portrait, as a gift to the rest of his crew. How cool is that? Pretty fucking cool, if you ask me.

    i had something totally similar happen to me last week where a guy that puts reissue CDs together for 80s metal bands found a link on my site to his… and then invited me to write the liner notes for a CD reissue of one of the bands that i had written about! the liner notes were sent over and the CD will be released in january.

    crazy. and scary too. and yes fucking cool. love the illustration by the way- i hope the cast does as well.

    I love it when things like that happen! The internet is pretty incredible – it brings together people who'd have never known each other existed 10 years ago. Now, where do we go from here? The next decade or so should be *very* interesting…
