Here’s some good news for you zombie fans: Dead Ringers will remain at 50% off until September 10th! I got incredibly busy yesterday, and forgot to send out a reminder that the sale was ending, so I think it’s only fair that I keep it going for a little while longer. So, if you wanted to get one at half off, but were afraid you missed your chance; rejoice! I have heard your anguished cries, and I’m giving you some extra time to get your orders in! Last week was my birthday, and Zombieoke was big, bloody chunks of fun! Thanks to everyone who came out and made the whole night a huge success! Many songs were sung, brains were eaten, copious amounts of alcohol were consumed, and a damn good time was had by all. A big group came over to our apartment before the show, and I did makeup for everyone. Karaoke was provided by my friend Pinto, who has a standing reservation as the DJ for Friday nights at Babe’s Burgers & Wings.
It’s always fun to see people’s reactions to a big group of zombies in a bar in the middle of August! The folks at Babe’s were a lot of fun, and we returned the favor by keeping everyone entertained. Lots of us sang zombie-themed songs (“Zombie” – The Cranberries, “I Fall to Pieces” – Patsy Cline, “Fever” – Peggy Lee, “I Will Survive” – Gloria Gaynor, “Thriller” – Michael Jackson, etc.), and one of the regulars even dedicated his rendition of Rob Zombie’s “Living Dead Girl” (DOUBLE zombie-entendre!) to us! The whole night was fantastic – we were a big hit. Lots of the staff were asking when we’d be back again.
Y’know, I might just have to do Zombieoke more often than once a year…. it’s too much damn fun!
