I had a crazy weekend. My friend Becky Blanton (Stay Hungry!) is one of the 3 finalists in the Lesson Seven competition over at johnnybunko.com, and it’s really heating up over there! As of this entry, Becky is 1% of the vote away from first place! Now normally, I would just ask any of you who felt so inclined to go over there and vote for “Stay Hungry” to help out a friend.
But I didn’t feel like that was enough this time.
I believe really strongly that Becky’s is the most valuable of the three lessons that could be picked to get the Lesson Seven treatment. Her simple, two-word advice to everyone is simply “Stay Hungry.” Succinct, to the point, and direct. Never be satisfied with what you’ve already done. Stay hungry for the next success! Keep working on something new and keep yourself at the head of the pack. For anyone who wants to be successful at anything, I can’t think of any better advice.
So, to drive the point home and really get the message out there, Becky and I teamed up to bring you a free e-book about staying hungry! For those of you who have read Dan Pink’s “The Adventures of Johnny Bunko”, you’ll get to join our heroes on a new adventure! And what adventure from me would be complete without zombies??? Mwahahaha! The book has 16 pages of comics written by Becky, and illustrated by me (over the course of a three-day weekend!), as well as ideas on how to stay hungry, and profiles of people who are shining examples. We really hope that you learn something important while having a great time being entertained!
We’re offering a free download of the e-book, and you can read more about the project at lessonseven.com. Of course, we’re doing all this because we’d like Becky to win the competition so that we can get the message out to as many people as possible! And to do that, we need your vote! So, head on over to JohnnyBunko.com and cast your vote for “Stay Hungry!” The deadline for voting in the competition is January 15, so you’ve only got a couple days to help us make it happen!
Enjoy the e-book, go cast your vote, and most importantly… Stay Hungry!
PS. Here’s a SlideShare embed so you can take a look! The links don’t work, so please download the file so that you can peruse it in its full interactive glory!
