Usual Error Goodness

As you may remember, one of the projects I’m working on at the moment is “The Usual Error,” a book and interactive series by my friends Pace and Kyeli. I had all the illustrations finished up recently, but something wasn’t quite right. The main image, the illustration of the Usual Error concept that was going on the cover, just wasn’t good enough. “Let me redesign it,” I told them. They loved the drawing I’d already done, and didn’t see a real need to redo it, but they trusted me to deliver something even better.

And I didn’t disappoint them.

You can see their take on the situation at their blog, paceandkyeli.com, as well as the full inks for the new cover image! Here’s a preview of a portion of it:

Your art is so gorgeous and so effective at communicating abstract concepts! It’s so exciting that we’re almost ready to publish!! (:

I am far more excited than text can convey, particularly through the brain fog I’ve got swimming in my head today. You’re amazing! The art is amazing!
