Inching Towards the Finish Line

So far, the Fundable project is going great! The initial 48 hours have passed, so from this point on, only the $50 pledges will be given abuse privileges. As a matter of fact, a single $50 donation, and a scant $10 “encouragement” would get this project up and running. ….or, two people who wanted to do $30 pledges. …or a bunch of people who wanted to give $10 or less to the effort! If you’d like to give under $10, here is a link to my Evil Tip Jar, and I’ll dump it out into the Fundable drive when it hits $10. I’ve got some very awesome contributions so far, although a few people still have to send me their ideas. You know who you are. (O_~)

I’ve also been really busy lately in preparing for Aggiecon. For those of you unfamiliar with it, Aggiecon is a SciFi/Fantasy/Anime/Geek convention held on the campus of Texas A&M each year. I’ll be displaying some of my artwork there in the Artists’ Gallery. It’s mostly work that I’ve completed for the two gaming books I’ve been working on for the past year or so. One is a high-fantasy, 3.5-style D&D core rulebook for a universe my friend Andres has created over the past decade. The other is my own idea for a zombie apocalypse roleplaying book, based roughly on d20 Modern style gameplay, set in the present day and near future. I’ve probably created close to 200 illustrations for the two books combined, which seems crazy to me. There are also some pieces from my personal illustration work, and a really nice Tasty Flesh strip. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about bringing Tasty Flesh back, and I think this Fundable system might be a really neat way to try to do it. Anybody have thoughts about that?
